Woven in Teotitlán del Valle with the Ruiz Mendoza family, these are not mere textiles but collisions—geology meeting memory, ritual crossing randomness, Mexico in dialogue with the cosmos.
Each knot, dyed from the plants and minerals of Oaxaca, becomes sculpted matter—time condensed, a meditation on the meteor strike that shaped the Yucatán and perhaps sparked life itself.
For me, weaving is sculpture. Repetition is survival. Tapestry is the new mural—charged with ancestral memory and the galactic force of chance.Alongside, a bronze sculpture born from clay, ash of our volcanoes, and the ancient lost-wax process—Mexico City to the stars.
